How To De-Silk Corn, Like Magic!

I want to share a secret for getting every piece of silk off the corn, like magic!

Put your corn in the microwave in the husk, for 2 minutes. One minute, each side.

When done, take a heavy knife and CUT off the "stalk" end of the corn about an inch from the base. This will leave the corn "open" at that end, so you can see the kernels.

Now grasp the other end, the one with the silks sticking out. Make sure you're holding the husk ends and silk. Point the corn open-side-down and give it a few shakes. Voila! The corn will slide out, silk free.

This also works if you grill the corn in the husk.
