Customer comments:

Our 1.5 hour ride to get to your Harvard farm was the best shopping trip ever. We purchased one case of corn, a watermelon, quart of yellow tomatoes, one small pumpkin and several large tomatoes.  We really enjoyed the Fresh Ear of Bicolor you gave us to munch on! We were very happy to see the list of Local Farmer Markets in our area. Rich and Judy-Hanover Park

Went to Elk Grove Village Farmers Market and got my corn!!!!!!!!!  A wonderful person helped me carry my 1 1/2 dozen ears to my car.  The person I spoke to indicated that those cutting corn off the cob had to blanch first.  I did not blanch last year nor did I this year. Thank you for your wonderful corn.  Haven't had this taste since I grew up in Northern New York (Watertown).

I wanted to tell you I tried some of your corn at the Glen Ellyn, IL Farmers Market and was blown away by the taste of your corn. It is the finest I have ever tasted. I purchased two bags and I look forward to ordering more in the future.  Thank you for such a high quality wonderful product.

Tasted this corn at the Dubuque Farmers Market for the first time today.  My husband and I were speechless it was awesome could not believe how sweet and tender it was for not being cooked.  We will be buying more the next time we go to farmers market.  We have a small garden in our yard and like to try new things.  Where can I buy some seeds?  I would love to try growing this in my garden.

Just wanted to let you know everyone from my office was buying your corn today at Daley Plaza. Two of the ladies just returned and you were gone – SOLD OUT. They ran into a man who was walking around the plaza eating an ear and they asked him if it was your corn and where you were located. He said you were gone. He even wrote the company name on his folder. They were going to knock him down and steal his corn. (just kidding) Twin Gardens has become a name in our office. I first discovered the corn a few weeks ago at Independence Park. When I came home I made the corn and nut muffin recipe from your web site, brought them to work the following day and everyone raved about them. My friend lives in Harvard and she buys you corn during the summer and freezes it so her family can have it all year round.

I purchased your corn this morning for the first time at the Daley Plaza Farmer's Market. This time of year, I eat a lot of corn for lunch, dinner, breakfast, but especially lunch. I also bought some corn from one of your competitors at Tuesday's Farmer's Market at the Federal Plaza. As I type this e-mail I'm conducting a taste-test comparison between the other local corn and the Mirai from Twin Gardens -- and I gotta say ...
Your corn kicks the other corn--hands down, you win. Can't wait to try your white corn variety, as white corn is my absolute favorite -- so be sure to bring some not only to Daley Center next week but to Beverly on Sunday, as that one's close to my home.

We heard about the best sweet corn in the world on WGN radio years ago. We couldn't wait to try some so we drove 70 miles to Harvard. We were not disappointed. Your corn IS the best we ever ate. Now, we were wondering how to get more without driving 70 miles each way. Then we heard about the farmers market locations. To our great joy, we saw that the corn was available only a few miles from home at the Kenosha Farmer's market! What joy! Now we can get the corn easily without the long drive. BUT, we also discovered the Dog and Suds drive-in in Richmond, Il. We used to visit that place when it was still in operation in Racine. This past weekend we drove to Harvard to get the corn there and shared it with friends and family. Of course they raved about it Even a little one year old girl had a piece of an ear of corn and she would not give it up! We also had to stop at Dog and Suds for a Coney dog and root beer. What a beautiful day that was! Thanks again for growing the best corn on earth.

I purchased four dozen ears – the sweet corn is:

According to my son (who got two dozen ears) the best he and his new wife have ever had

According to my best friend (who I have known since the third grade) the sweetest she has ever had –

Thank you for adding to my corny vocabulary – Mirai is the best!

To: Proprietors of Twin Garden Farms:

Please add our thank you and strongest endorsement to those posted on your website.

Gini works near the Sears Tower and purchased corn from you for the first time yesterday at the urging of her mother (Pearl Marziani) in West Chicago, who heard of your product on the radio or from acquaintances.

Gini and I like to cook and we have three teenage sons (one away at college) who enjoy great food. All of us agreed that your corn is the best-tasting and best-looking corn we have ever eaten.

We prepared the corn in the microwave and used some salt and fresh-ground pepper; nothing fancy. Our son Giovanni, himself an avid cook, had the first ear and he said the corn was so sweet it tasted like fruit. Giuliano (his younger brother) was next, and he asked for a second ear. Gini and I followed and fully concurred. Gini purchased two bags and gave one away at her office, so the four of us had to share six ears last night.

We will see your staff at Dearborn Park tomorrow; Giovanni takes the ACT in the morning and the boys have a soccer game in the afternoon, and I can think of no better treat than a bowl full of your corn to finish the day tomorrow.

Our only regret is that the season appears to be ending, but we will keep your website link on our favorites, and we hope and trust that you will be selling this corn for many years to come.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to hand pick your corn, and the thought you put into selecting a crop that it so delicious. As a family who have lived in the heart of Chicago for many years, we are grateful that you participate in downtown farmers' markets so we can enjoy a bit of country living in the shadow of the Sears Tower.

My neighbor happened to stop at Harvard and brought back some corn & gave me a couple of ears. Since then I have been to Wilmette two times and hope to go back before the end of Sept.
NOW - the main reason for this note - I have NEVER tasted such good corn!!!!!! Yes, I tasted it raw too. I first heard about it on WGN radio (Spike's show) and thought - sure, just another commercial.......until my wonderful neighbor gave me the two ears. I will always be indebted to her for giving and YOU for growing.    Thank you so much.
Thank you in advance for finding time to answer the couple of questions.
Thanks for your help and hope you have a great rest of summer and hope your year was good.
Hope to be in Wilmette next year - Twin Garden Farms best be there too! I only go for the corn.

Little bit of olive oil, light salt and pepper. Cooked on the grill until just starting to show cook marks. Absolutely, no question, the finest corn I have every eaten. That includes what I have grown myself. Big juicy kernels, not chewy or tough at all. The best. Amazing stuff. Will make the regular corn hard to measure up ever again. My wife says the same thing. Thank you so much.

“We just wanted to let you know that you

r Mirai corn is the hit of the neighborhood and many other households here in Pleasant Prairie and Kenosha. Once everyone tasted the “samples” of corn that we brought home from your stand in Harvard, we now have to bring it home by the cases to keep them all content and supplied. Thank goodness Mike’s work route allows him to pass by your stand a couple of times a week, or many of our friends and neighbors would have to make the one-hour trip just to get their corn, which they said they would gladly do.

We just can’t tell you how EXCELLENT the Mirai corn is - - we eat it almost every day, and still don’t get tired of it. As we were told on our first visit to your stand a few years ago, this is absolutely the BEST corn that we have ever tasted. Thanks for making so many people happy and adding that extra special touch to our summer meals!! Of course, we always have to buy and freeze enough to get us through the winter, too . . . . we’re addicted!!!”

“Just wanted to say I went to the Wilm

ette Farmer’s Market last the last two Saturdays (great farmer’s market by the way); bought MIRAI sweet corn --- it was great! The young man selling it was very helpful. Had company for lunch on Sunday and we ate the whole dozen. Plan on going every Saturday morning ‘til the corn runs out.

Am sharing this morning’s purchase (two dozen) with company this Sunday; also sending a six pack home with my grand-daughter’s boyfriend who lives in Springfield and says his father is a real corn connoisseur. I will let you know his dad’s response!”

“The (shipped) corn arrived the other day, safe and sound. It’s unbelievable; I have been enjoying it daily, an ear at a time, following the microwave directions, and not bothering with any butter or salt… the best place to eat it, though, is on the backyard swing --- because the darned stuff is so juicy it sprays all over the kitchen table! I can’t thank you enough for giving me this early opportunity to enjoy the best corn of summer.

A friend and I plan on an August road trip to your farm stand… It’s a hike, but we had such a good time doing it last year before the school year begins (we’re both teachers) that we’re going to do it again. We’ll see if we can get some corn orders ahead of time, too, and perhaps load the trunk! At very least, I’m getting some to gorge on, as well as to freeze some, too.

Thanks ever so much -- you’ve been the customer service king!”

“I actually had a dream about Mirai corn and took a ride past the farm a couple of weeks ago! I have moved from Chicago to Woodstock. People think it’s because of my job relocating, but it’s actually because now I’m closer to Harvard.

I have probably been one of your ‘greatest’ advertisers. On the last day last year, you gave me a key chain which I use. Whenever anybody sees this bright yellow corn fob and asks me, I go into a whole litany of how wonderful Mirai corn is. Sometimes I don’t wait for them to ask!”

“It doesn’t take an imminent snow storm

to make me think of your wonderful product, because I think about it all of the time and wonder why I didn’t buy more this summer. (Although, my first time being at your Farm was Summer 2007 and I purchased 4 cases at that time, it wasn’t nearly enough.) I take great joy in giving and it was so easy to share the corn with my neighbors, friends and family. Thank you for taking such great care in the production of your Mirai corn.

Looking at your website, I notice that you will have corn available much closer to my home in Homer Glen, IL. It will be so easy to get to St. Charles, Wheaton, or Lombard and my question is: Do you usually bring a great quantity with you or do I have to order what I want?

I can’t wait to introduce more people to Mirai from Twin Garden Farms and give more to those who remember last summer the way I did --- eating corn every day!

Thank you!"

“From the time the snow stops flying until the leaves begin to fall, virtually EVERY DAY my significant other, Marcel, asks, “When are you going to get the MIRAI?” Marcel is French, and you can imagine the sound of MEE-RYE with a heavy French accent. Last year I drove in a torrential down-pour for over an hour to get as much Mirai as possible (some to eat and some to freeze for the winter months), not only to keep ‘peace in the family’, but because I love the taste of this sweet corn too!”
